And another chapter ends

So today was not a good day. I know I owe a review of the latest Sookie Stackhouse book I read. I promise it will come. I was actually going to work on it tonight after work, but too much happened.
I go to lunch today and can't help but notice all these chairs that hadbeen set up. Actually I wasn't the only one. Two of my friends who were sitting with me were trying to think of a reason. Something was definitely up. You could feel it in the air with the supervisors. Finally 1:30 rolls around. The supervisors come out of a meeting and tell us to make busy on our phones. A few of us walk to the breakroom knowing something is definitely not right. We never have meetings wherethe whole center is involved. There is at least two hundred of us in the breakroom waiting for the meeting to start. Again the supervisors are giving ogg a bad vibe. No one wants to smile. We all just look at each other, knowing what's to come. Yup, it came. Out of the three call centers for my company they are closing ours. The doors will officially close the 31st of October, but our last day will be the 30th.
Not sure if they told everyone in the center. I know one friend of mine went home sick and she got a call later in the evening from one of our supervisors. One of my teammates is on his honeymoon, so when he will find out? Who knows.
I will definitely miss the friends I have made there and hope to keep in touch.
I'm keeping faith something will come along even if it's retail.
I did make a joke this evening with my mom. Now I can really sit down and work on my first novel. :)
