I know, I know. It's been so long. I swear I'm going to keep up. *Fingers crossed*
I said I would do an Outlander post and I will. Look for it this weekend.
Things just have been crazy lately. Since I've been back, I've been preparing myself for being unemployed. You never know how it feels until it happens to you. I haven't found anything yet and I'm not giving up hope. I figure with the season coming up, there is hope for maybe seasonal work. Plus I have to keep my eye out for jobs when I sign up for unemployment. It can be held against you if you don't.
What do I want to do in my life? Honestly, I'm not sure yet. I know I don't want to work in a call center again unless it's off the phone. I love my friends from there but talking on the phone eight hours straight with customers was not my thing. If I'm going to help a customer I would rather do it in person.
I'm also going to try and freelance. Not sure how well that will work yet. I'm a beginner so it will take time.
Of course for awhile I could have time to finish writing my novel which is a good thing.
More tomorrow......

Maine
So after ten years I finally made it back up to Maine. We use to go almost every year when I was younger to see family and etc. Unfortunately I got older and the last time I was there I was 19. Ah, to be that age again. Okay, that's a whole different blog, lol. Anyways.....
I had a good time and naturally it went too fast. I went with my parents and grandmother. It was nice to see family and to catch up. Also visited the cemetery to see past loved ones which of course made me miss them.
It's amazing how different Maine can be from what I'm use to. I'm use to going to Starbucks for coffee, the mall, Target, Bars, etc. Maine? I felt like I was in the country which of course was not a bad thing. Where we traveled you didn't see any well known places although the city we stayed in did have a Wal-Mart. It kind of stuck out. You have all these family own businesses and you have Wal-Mart. It just didn't look right. I also found it strange when we would go to restaurants and they closed early. I wouldn't mind living up there but at the same time, I love my Starbucks. I also do love having the option of getting food late at night.
We also did some exploring. Can I just say how jealous of Maine I am? I love Ohio and I will proudly admit it but Maine though was so beautiful. If it hadn't been so cold when we went, I could see me sitting there watching the ocean for hours on top of a mountain. I also wanted to get out my journal to write but the hands were frozen.
I also saw Stephen King's house. I was in awe when I saw it. I have read Stephen King forever so that made my day.
I would love to write more, but I uploaded a lot of pictures and a video and now I'm realizing I need to be up in six hours for work. If you do want to see picture's, go to my facebook page which is http://www.facebook.com/robsad79.

Twenties Girl
So I finally finished Twenties Girl. This one took me forever. It wasn't bad, but I just couldn't get into it. Which was a disappointment. I love Sophie Kinsella but this one wasn't my favorite. There were parts were you do laugh but I wasn't falling in love with the main character.
The main character Lara Lington has a big issue and it's her great aunt Sadie. It's her great aunt who passed away at the age of 105 appearing to her as a ghost at the age of twenty-three. Sadie gets Lara to help find a necklace that is very important to her. Of course there is drama along the way. Also along the way she meets Ed, an American. Do the two hit it off? You know I can't tell you that.
What I did like was that Sadie got Lara into twenties clothing, make-up, and all. That brought the Kinsella I love reading.
I still think you should check this one out. It might not be the Shopaholic series or Can You Keep a Secret. But definitely read it and let me know what you think. I think this is one of those books that some will love and some will not love but like. You won't hate it that's for sure.
Trying out Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. It might be awhile on that one.
