Finished the third in the Chicagoland Vampire series and that book was Twice Bitten. Just like the first two books I loved this one. This one picks up after the second book in the series. The shifters play a bigger role. Gabriel comes to Chicago and it's Merit's job to protect him. As Merit does her job her relationship with Ethan seems to become a yo-yo. It's good, it's bad, and it's good. You get the idea.
I'm not sure what else to say about the plot without giving too much away. All I can say is. Wait until chapter eight. That is all.
I feel like Merit is growing in this one. She is becoming more aware of her vampirism. She is also realizing what her job as a Sentinel means. She is also making Cadogan more of a home.
Am I Team Ethan or Team Morgan? I'm going to have say Team Ethan as of right now. If you remember from my last posts on the last two books. I went back and forth. Sure I think Ethan is the vampire for her but who knows how the next book will go.
I can't wait for the next one and I think we have a year to go. Either way, I'm excited.
This is another series I want to start and have heard great things of. I just haven't had the chance to get to it. Thanks for the reviews.
ReplyDeleteEthan did not win me over in this book, despite Chapter Eight. The yo-yo thing drove me CRAZY.
