Loving Mr. Darcy

I'm back again tonight. I know you missed me. So I finished Loving Mr. Darcy by Sharon Lathan minutes ago. Although I have to admit I had to keep stopping thanks to putting Syfy on in the background and I got into the movie. If you haven't read my previous post which was on Two Shall Become One, click here. It's the first book in the Darcy Saga.

As the second book starts, Lizzy and Darcy are still happily married. Lizzy is also pregnant with their first child. Family and friends come together in this one. We even see Mary become more of a woman. And of course there is good old Caroline. I was waiting for Lydia and Wickham to come but they didn't. Maybe in the next book? They do a lot of traveling in this book ranging from London to Derbyshire. Also the love scenes just like the first one are very hot, so if you like that. Definitely pick it up.

There was definitely a lot of research put into this book with cities, clothing, toys, etc.

It was interesting to see how Darcy reacted with the growing baby that Lizzy was carrying. I won't go into much detail about it if she has the baby or not. You'll just have to read and find out.

After this book I think I need to get out Pride and Prejudice, the 2005 version. Like I mentioned in my last post. I could see Matthew Macfadyen.

TAKEN FROM GOODREADS:
"Highly entertaining... I felt fully immersed in the time period, thanks to the author's attention to detail. It is a real credit to Ms. Lathan that her storytelling style is in keeping with the author of the work that inspired this novel. Well done!"
Romance Reader at Heart

Beyond Pride and Prejudice…Beyond 'I Do'…

Darcy and Lizzy venture away from Pemberley to journey through England, finding friends, relatives, fun, love, and an even deeper and more sacred bond along the way.

Having embarked on the greatest adventure of all, marriage and the start of a new life together, now the Darcys take the reader on a journey through a time of prosperity, enjoyment, and security. They experience all the adventures of travel, with friends
and relatives providing both companionship and complications, and with fun as their focus.

The sights and sounds, tastes and flavors of Regency England come alive. Through it all, Darcy and Lizzy continue to build a marriage filled with romance, sensuality, and the beauty of a deep, abiding love.

Two Shall Become One

So I'm almost done with Loving Mr. Darcy by Sharon Lathan and I don't know why but I never did a post for Two Shall Become One. Thought I would post this before I post about the second in the series, The Darcy Saga. If I'm not in a Vampire or whatever paranormal mood these days, I've been on a Jane Austen kick lately. So I'll probably have a few more Jane Austen theme books coming, even a couple vampire themed ones.

This book picks up after Pride and Prejudice when Lizzy and Darcy are married. Lizzy comes to Pemberley and gets to learn what it's like to become the mistress of her new home. I like to think of this book as the honeymoon stage as Darcy and Lizzy show their love and devotion for each other. There is some action where you get to see Darcy play the hero. There are some steamy love scenes between the two.

I have to admit whenever I read Pride and Prejudice time and time again, I always picture Colin Firth but for this book, I definitely pictured Matthew Macfadyen.

If you are a sucker for the sequels to Pride and Prejudice, I definitely think you should check this one out. There is a third book in the series titled, My Dearest Darcy. I did purchase that one and it's sitting on my shelf of to read books so hopefully will have that post up soon. I believe she has two more books coming and will definitely be checking them out.

Tonight sometime, there will be a post for Loving Mr. Darcy. Unfortunately not sure what time. It will be before I go to bed, I swear :).

Taken from Goodreads:
Sharon Lathan presents Mr. & Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy, A fascinating portrait of a timeless, consuming love - and the sweetest, most romantic Jane Austen sequel.

It's Darcy and Elizabeth's wedding day, and the journey is just beginning as Jane Austen's beloved Pride and Prejudice characters embark on the greatest adventure of all: marriage and a life together filled with surprising passion, tender self-discovery, and the simple joys of every day.

As their love story unfolds in this most romantic of Jane Austen sequels, Darcy and Elizabeth reveal to each other how their relationship blossomed. From misunderstanding to perfect understanding and harmony, theirs is a marriage filled with romance, sensuality, and the beauty of a deep, abiding love.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:

"This journey is truly amazing."

"So beautifully written... making me feel as though I was in the room with Lizzy and Darcy... and sharing in all of the touching moments between."

"What a wonderful beginning to this truly beautiful marriage."
"I love your style of writing, the vocabulary you use, and the way you describe things but still leave things to the imagination."

"Could not stop reading."

"One can visualize, quite accurately, every detail."

Taken From Amazon:
Living in small town Rockabill, Maine, Jane True always knew she didn't quite fit in with so-called normal society. During her nightly, clandestine swim in the freezing winter ocean, a grisly find leads Jane to startling revelations about her heritage: she is only half-human.

Now, Jane must enter a world filled with supernatural creatures alternatively terrifying, beautiful, and deadly- all of which perfectly describe her new "friend," Ryu, a gorgeous and powerful vampire.

It is a world where nothing can be taken for granted: a dog can heal with a lick; spirits bag your groceries; and whatever you do, never-ever-rub the genie's lamp.

If you loveSookie Stackhouse, then you'll want to dive into Nicole Peeler's enchanting debut novel.

LOST

So LOST. I have more questions to ask. As always, spoilers.....

1. Jack has a kid? Did I miss something? I know every once in awhile you forget stuff but you would normally remember something like this right?

2. I was going to ask who Claire's friend was, but at least we got that answer.

3. The mirrors? What does Jack's old house have to do with anything?

4. Why are they being watched?

5. Is Christian really dead in this alternate world? Maybe that's why the body hasn't been found. I mean come on, you would think you would find a coffin with a dead body inside.

6. The skeletons are back. Who are they? Hurley had a good point.

7. Who is 108?

8. With the mention of Aaron. Will he come back?

9. Was anyone else thinking of the turning wheel back from last season or was it at the end of season four when Ben turned it? I'm talking about the lighthouse scene under the mirrors or even as Hurley turned it around.

10. Dogen is in the alternate world now?

Am I missing anything??

Darkfever

Hope all this makes sense. Watching LOST and doing the blog during commericals. Along with chatting with a friend about the show during commericals. It's not easy :).
***********************

So I finally read Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. It's the first book of the Fever series. I have read her Highlander series but never picked up Fever. Why? Who knows?

The story is told through MacKayla Lane’s eyes. She is your typical twenty-two year old located in Georgia. She receives a phone call that will change her life forever. Her sister has been killed. Her sister's case gets put aside and Mac doesn't want to see that happen so she drops her life in Georgia and goes to Ireland to find her sister's killer. The minute she gets there, trouble seems to find her. It all starts with an old woman in a bar. When she gets lost in a fog she comes to a bookstore to call a cab and she meets Barrons. He tells her to leave the country when she asks about the meaning of sinsar dubh but we know Mac won't listen.

She learns about the supernatural. Humans aren't the only ones out there. She has discovered fae and vampire. At first she refuses to believe all of it but with all the strange things happening around her, who is to question to the supernatural? Plus she has learned she is a sidhe-seer who can see the Fae.

Barrons and her work together to find the book called the Sinsar Dubh which holds deadly magic. Along the way she also meets a Fae prince, V'lane, who makes sex an addiction to a human. He also wants her to find the book.

This is only the first book and the there is going to be five all together. I'm almost debating if I want to start the second book soon. I have this really bad feeling I'm going to finish all four and than realize I have to wait until the end of the year to read the last book.

I would have to say my biggest question for the book series so far is who is Barrons? I won't get into much detail about him of course but he is a mystery.

V'Lane. I wish we had more of him in this book. I'm assuming we'll see more of him throughout the series so definitely interested in seeing Mac and V'Lane together.

Either way, I'm looking forward to book 2. I am in a Moning mood though now so I might have to get out the Highlander series again.

Austin O'Brien? Who knew...

I always love dreams where you dream of random things or I should say people in this case. So in this dream I was friends with my next-door neighbor when in reality we are just neighbors who see each other daily. So the wife comes over and says she has to show me a video that her husband did. I go over there and she plays the video.

Sitting in a room is Austin O'Brien the actor who is sitting on a couch with a guitar singing a song. When the song is over he looks up at the camera and says how he misses me and can't wait to see me. Also that he sent a webcam with the video so we could see each other more often. The video ends.

Now both neighbors are in the room and ask me what I think and if I'm excited. Before I know, I wake up.

Like I said, very random I would dream of O'Brien. I haven't even thought of the actor in years and I'm trying to remember the last thing I saw him in. Sure I had a tiny crush on him when I was younger but again, out of all the actors who I have watched or even talked about lately, him?

Under the Dome

I did it. Woo! This book took me awhile but I got through it. Which book am I talking about? Under the Dome by Stephen King. Okay the next challenge is what to put down in a short blog post when the book was 1,000 pages. Here we go.

Of course the book takes place in Maine and the town is called Chester's Mill. It's starts up about a week before Halloween. There are so many characters in the book, I'm not even sure who to focus on.

Pretty much right from the beginning of the book, a dome falls over the town trapping the people inside. People inside and outside of the dome have no clue what's going on. Even the government is clueless. Of course people freak out and the book pretty much centers around their survival. You have the people who want to figure out who is controling the dome, the people who thinks it's a good thing, and the people who think it's God's way.

What was interesting and probably creepy about the book was the fact it does make you think. What would you do if a dome closed your city in? I'm not saying everything in the book would happen in real life, but there are a few parts that could.

I was surprised at the ending. I definitely didn't see that coming. Of course you know I can't tell you. You'll just have to read it for yourselves :). Just to warn you. There are a few scenes in the book where I recommend you aren't eating anything. I'm just saying :).

If you want to get an idea of the book, here is King reading the beginning of the book.

V'Lane Day Contest

I still can't believe I actually won something. I never do. Okay that's a lie. My former co-worker in my department gave us all lottery game tickets one year for Christmas and I actually got $50 out of it. A couple other people maybe got $5 or $2 :-). But really that's the only other time I won. So anyways, I entered the V'Lane Day contest where we had to tweet Karen Marie Moning and here is what I won.

Lake Erie

So I ended up at the Park instead of the Beach itself. I'm thinking I should have done the Beach since it was so icy I couldn't get that many pictures. But here are some.
Use to come here as a kid and play on the playground. Even in the snow. There is also a hill you can't see that we use to go sledding on.
Here is where I love to read and write. Just imagine dirt and grass under all the snow.

Not the best of me. I had to pull the hair back due to wind. That was as close as I could get to the lake without falling on ice.

Look, it's a lake. I swear it's under there.

Another view of Lake Erie.

My friend got married right here. Just imagine the tree not being in the way and a great view of a Lake and its waves.
The building in the corner is where you will find parties, etc.

Another lake pic.

The view from my car.

Saw a few deer in my backyard so had to take a few picture's. No I didn't get this close. It's amazing how much you can zoom in, lol. This deer was in their own little world.

They are checking out the other deer.

Another deer comes along.

"Therefore-while such wonders as gas lighting illuminated the streets and houses, agricultural delights from far away places became imported, and structural marvels like new bridges spanned the Thames-pollution, crime, poverty, and the yawning chasms between the classes increased. "

In The Blood

After sitting in the same spot and position for so long, I want to say maybe four hours? I finished In the Blood by Adrian Phoenix which is the second book in The Maker's Song series. I have this really bad feeling after I finish the third book I'm going to want more. Knowing I have the next one to read, I'm thinking I'll be okay and I can take a breather to read another book and than pick up the third.

The book picks up from the last book. Heather is back in her town, Seattle and Dante is still in New Orleans except he is on tour and guess where he is heading? He wants to make sure Heather is safe after the events of the first book. I won't go into much detail about the first book. If you didn't see that post, click here.

The feelings that Dante and Heather had for each other are still there. Dante of course still wants Heather to stay away from him to keep her safe but only until he knows she is safe from the other danger that is haunting the two of them. While the two of them are dealing with their trouble, Lucien is having his own trouble dealing with the Fallen who want to find the Maker.

I would have to say Von is still one of my favorite characters in the series and can't wait to read more of him as the series goes on.

We also got to meet Annie, Heather's baby sister so we do get to see more of Heather's past or present in this book, although there is still a couple unresolved issues. Maybe I'll see those in the third?

Well I'm off to read the second book for the Darcy Saga. I'm taking a tiny break from vampires. You know I'll come back to them. Although I do have a few werewolf, demon, and angel books to read.

Also you might finally get to see my thoughts on Under the Dome soon. I think I only have 250 more pages to go? It's less than 300 I know that much. I still have no clue on what to expect for the ending but from a few people I did hear that I'll be blown away. I can't wait.

Lost

Tonight's episode, I was doing one of those, "WTF". The hour also seem to fly by. I had to ask my friend, "wait what happened?"

Spoilers as always.

First off, Boone was in the previous episodes. Let's take a minute and remember him...

Okay, I'm good now.

This was a Locke episode and I still have issues with him but with what's been going on, I was kind of interested to see what was going on in Locke's head. I see he is still with Helen. He also has encounters with Hurley, Rose, and Ben. All these connections are going to make me confused.

You have to feel kind of bad for Richard. From the looks of it, it looks like he's a dead man. He better be careful.

I love that we are finally going to get a Sun and Jin reunion. At least I hope so. I just want the two reunited already. I love how Sun is like, ooh I can see Jin again but yet she wants to stop to bury Locke.

Sawyer, he better watch himself.

Okay and now, I have another issue with LOST, what the heck was with the numbers, crossing out names?

What else am I forgetting?

Saw the commerical for V. Is it wrong to find the priest kind of cute? I know he's an actor but still, it's the thought.

Shiloh Walker's Broken

Shattered

Quinn Rafferty is working as a bounty hunter and bail bondsman in St. Louis when a new neighbor catches his eye. He’s tempted by her beauty—but he knows from experience that anyone desperate enough to live in his building is damaged goods. Besides, he has his own soul to mend before he can worry about anyone else.

Desperate

Sara Davis is on the run, but not for the usual reasons a woman goes on the lam. She’s not an abused wife, and she’s not a criminal. But she does have a plan for her future. And as much as she finds herself attracted to her gruff, tough neighbor, she can’t risk telling him the secrets she’s hiding. There’s just too much at stake.

Driven to desire…

But Quinn must get closer to Sara when she turns out to be the target of his new missing persons case, and he discovers that there is something more complex and dangerous to her than he thought. Now, both Quinn and Sara will have to expose their true feelings—as well as their fragile hearts—if they hope their love will survive…

EXCERPT
He opened the door—

And stopped dead in his tracks as somebody all but fell into his arms. Somebody…a woman. And not Theresa.

He caught her just above her elbows, automatically steadying her.

“I’m sorry,” she said, her voice soft and low.

Then she lifted her face and Quinn found himself gazing into the biggest, brownest eyes he’d ever seen in his life. Feeling a little dazed, he studied her face while she stammered out another apology.

Quinn barely heard it.

He was too busy staring at her mouth. A very pretty mouth, a cupid’s bow mouth slicked with deep, vibrant red. Under his hands, he could feel silken smooth skin and unable to resist, he stroked a thumb along her inner arm.

Her skin was soft, soft and warm. He was also pretty sure she had the creamiest, most flawless skin imaginable. Her shoulder-length hair was a shade caught between blonde and brown, nondescript, but for some reason, he found himself thinking about tangling his fingers in that hair and holding her head still while he kissed that red-slicked mouth.

Well, hello…

Jabril

Jabril is the second book in the Vampires in America series by D.B. Reynolds and just like the first book, it was awesome!

You could probably read this one first but it would be a lot easier for you to read Raphael first. This one picks up a little after the first book and Cyn is trying to move on with her life. Of course it's not easy. All she can think about is Raphael and he's not helping by invading her dreams. She is called in on a case in Texas to work with another Vampire Lord. This time, it's Jabril. Jabril isn't like Raphael though, he's evil and he'll take whatever he wants, including Cyn.
Cyn gets away from Texas but not without taking someone important to Jabril and Jabril will do whatever it takes to take what belongs to him. As she figures out what to do and look for someone else that Jabril is also looking for, she gets a little help from Duncan and unfortunately for her, Raphael. She'll have to confront Raphael and her feelings for him. She definitely has a lot on her plate for book two.

Duncan again was probably one of my favorites and I found out recently that he could just have his own book. Definitely looking forward to it. Duncan and Cyn do grow closer in this book, at least I think so. No worries, it's not a love thing. It's more of a friendship thing.

Can't wait for the next book. Also if you are a Cyn and Raphael fan after the two books and want more. D.B. Reynolds, just posted this story on her website if you want more of them. Click away, http://dbreynolds.wordpress.com/vampire-vignettes-rated-r-or-maybe-x-2/#respond

First Drop of Crimson

I have to say that I'm kind of sad I finished the book. I even tried to make it last longer but once I got into it, it was hard to put down. What book am I talking about? First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost.

It's the first one in the series of The Night Huntress World. The second one, External Kiss of Darkness comes out this summer and you know I'll be getting that one as soon as possible. At least for that one I won't have to worry about snow. When I bought FDOC, they were calling for another blizzard and you know I had to get my book.

This book picks up after the last Night Huntress book, Destined for Early Grave. Don't worry if you haven't read the Night Huntress you won't be lost. I think there is only a couple scenes you wouldn't understand but that's all. For example, a flashback referring to what happened in one of the previous books but she explains the flashback so you should be okay.

This book starts with Denise who is mourning family members who have passed away. Each death doesn't make sense. Denise wanted out of the supernatural world and now she might have to come back to it. Thanks to an ancestor she has been branded by a demon who wants revenge. She promises the demon she will find this ancestor so the rest of her family is safe. The only person she can turn to, is Spade, a master vampire. Spade doesn't want anything to do with humans but he doesn't want Bones or Cat involve so he agrees to help Denise. The two set out to find her ancestor with the demon not far behind.

I was so excited to read this book. Like I've mentioned before I always thought Denise and Spade would be cute together, so yeah I could never hate this book.

We do meet a couple new characters but what I loved was seeing our old favorite characters. I don't know if I should mention which ones so I don't ruin it. But you know I have to. So highlight if you want to see who is in the book.

BONES!!!! I missed him. Cat was also there of course as a vampire. I loved Ian in this one. He always makes me laugh and Mencheres, who still doesn't have his power of seeing the future.

Raphael

So I lied. I ended up finishing Raphael first before First Drop of Crimson. I was almost done anyways with this one before FDOC. So here are my thoughts on Raphael by D.B. Reynolds.

Meet Raphael a Vampire Lord who is one of the few powerful vampires out there. No vampire or even human messes with him. Someone dares to be daring though and kidnaps a vampire very close to him. Raphael turns to Cynthia Leighton who is a private investigator and also a human for help. This is a first for Cynthia since she never has done a kidnapping case but she has helped vampires before. Her job is to get through the humans who helped kidnap the vampire and find out who they are working for. Should though Cynthia worry about the possible Russian's involved when she should watch out for Raphael? The two find a connection with each other and Raphael will do what he wants to get her as his and only his.

This one was a good one and definitely had some very sexy moments. For my favorite character I would have to say Duncan who works for Raphael. He plays the sidekick in the book who would love to give his two cents to Cynthia but in the end you can see a friendship forming between the two.

It does have graphic sex scenes, so you if aren't into that, that might tear you away from the book but again I do recommend it.

Hope you enjoy!

Raphael is the first in the series. The second one is Jabril. I believe it's going to be a five book series. No word on when the third one will be released but it will be called, Rajmund. The series is called, Vampires in America.

LOST

So what did everyone think of LOST? Were we happy? Spoilers ahead.

My friend and I along with a couple others are now thinking it has to be a parallel world. Are we going to see stuff that happened on the Island, happen in the alternate universe? Take for example, Ethan tonight. Why was he there?

If we are doing a parallel, I hope Boone can survive the alternate universe. :)

I thought things were going to be different in the alternate universe, so Kate technically shouldn't be innocent, I think. I have to remember the earlier seasons, lol.

Infection for Sayid and he's claimed? What the heck? Is this part of the evilness of the island? And now Claire is bad? Oh and how did the new guy (my mind is blank on his name) know that Claire was Jack's brother?

Sawyer and Kate? Don't want to see it. I liked him with Juliet. She should stay with Jack.

Sun and Jin??? I want them back together darn it!

I know there is other stuff to talk about but I keep getting interrupted as I write the blog so my thoughts aren't focused.

Thoughts anyone?

A Rush of Wings

I've started Adrian Phoenix's The Maker's Song this weekend and finished the first one tonight. So far there are three books.

The first one is A Rush of Wings. We have FBI Special Agent Heather Wallace who is from Seattle but finds herself in New Orleans haunting down a serial killer. The murder investigation leads her to Club Hell where she meets musician Dante. Dante pretty much right off the bat says he's a vampire. Heather wants to know more about this mystery man even though she gets information on his juvenile record but wait; there isn't a social security, etc. In order to help Dante she needs to find out information but as she gets to know Dante and others, danger comes. She just might have to save herself instead of Dante.

I love how we have the fallen in this one. The fallen is Lucien who is a friend to Dante who wants to protect him. I have to admit, at first I wasn't sure I was going to like Lucien but that changed as I got further in the book. I kept waiting for him to cause issues between Heather and Dante. On a side note, I bought a couple books about the fallen. I can't wait to check those out.

Besides Heather and Dante, I like Von. I heard I haven't seen the last of him, so can't wait.

What I liked about Heather was the fact she didn't always need Dante to be there for her to protect her. There might be a time or two but most of the time she was a strong woman. I kind of wished we had more information on her past so hopefully one of the next books will talk about that.

Dante, what is there to say about him? I loved him. Not as much as Bones of course. Still love my Bones, but Dante the way she described him. Wow.

The next two books
In The Blood
Beneath the Skin

*There is a fourth one coming out, but no word yet on the release date. I'm sure I'll be reading it. It's going to be called Etched in Bone.

**Hopefully you'll be seeing First Drop of Crimson on here soon. It all depends on the weather tomorrow. Is anyone else sick of snow? I know I live in Ohio and apparently Cleveland (WOO! I think) was listed number one for the worst winter weather but come on! Where is spring?

Some Girls Bite

Finished Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill and I loved this one. If there is one plus side about not having a job right now, it's I was able to finish the book in two days. Technically I finished it Friday and I'm usually pretty good about getting the blog posts up right away but yeah, I'll admit I was lazy. :)

The setting for this book is in Chicago, which I loved. Love the city. We meet Merit the main character who is your typical graduate student except one thing. She is turned into a vampire and her life changes from there. She is no longer a student and has to get use to this new change in her life.

She is changed by Ethan Sullivan who is the master of the house, Cadogan. He wants to possess her but our Merit pretty much says, "oh hell no." Maybe not in those exact words, but you get the idea. At the same time though, could she have feelings for Ethan?

The plot for this one is the murdering of women and Merit was supposed to be one of them but Ethan had changed her just in time. Can they figure out who is doing this? Ha, like I'm going to tell you.

I have to admit I liked Morgan a little bit. Although I'm thinking I should be going for Ethan. I'm hoping I'll be decided by the end of the second book. Morgan is another vampire in Merit's life. Unfortunately for her though he lives in the Navarre House. With him, part of me trusts him and the other half doesn't.

Up next in the series, Friday Night Bites which is out now and the third one, Twice Bitten comes out in July.

Hope everyone enjoys it :).

*Up next is either Adrian Phoenix's A Rush of Wings or Jeaniene Frost's First Drop of Crimson. If all goes well, I will have A Rush of Wings done tomorrow so I can start First Drop of Crimson as soon as I get it on Tuesday.

Bad to the Bone

I loved Bad to the Bone by Jeri Smith-Ready. This one was hard to put down. It's the second in the series for WVMP Radio. If you haven't read Wicked Game, go out and get it. You'll love it.

Just like the first book, the main character is Ciara Griffin and her man or should say, vampire, is Shane McAllister. They both work at WVMP radio where all the DJs are vampires who are stuck in the time they were turned. I'm sure you remember my post on Wicked Game. If not, click here. http://robsad79.blogspot.com/2010/01/wicked-game.html

On Halloween, a religious group steals the airwaves for the radio station. Throughout the book they try to figure who and why these people are doing this. Of course there is trouble along the way but what better way to protect Ciara than her dog, Dexter. She meets Dexter when she and a couple others check out a large white cross that has a translator. Dexter isn't your typical dog. He's a vampire dog. When I first read the part where we are introduced to him I'm thinking, "How can she live with a vampire dog?" I won't tell you how of course. Also don't worry, besides Dexter, Shane will be there for her.
Also Ciara and Shane take a big step. The two move in together and Ciara has to get use to Shane, the vampire.

I still love how he is stuck in the 90s. What can I say? A lot of 90s music made me who I am today. I spent my teenager years during that decade. I can still see my friends and me sitting in a room listening to Nirvana or Green Day. Speaking of the music, I liked the playlist at the beginning of the book and I'm going to have to put some of those songs on my ipod.

I can't wait until August when the third book comes out, although Amazon says July. This one is called, Bring on the Night. In the meantime I'm definitely going to get her first young adult book, Shade which comes out in May.

First Drop of Crimson

Oh how I wish it was the 9th already. On that day Jeaniene Frost's First Drop of Crimson comes out.

First Drop of Crimson is the first book in the Night Huntress World series. It will focus on Spade and Denise. I can't wait! I love Bones but also can't help but love Spade so knowing he has his own book? Awesome! I'm also glad to see it's Denise because before I knew about the series coming out, I always thought Spade and Denise would be perfect together.

This week has flown. Maybe Tuesday will be here soon. At least I hope so. I've been so good about not reading the first 20% of the book that's online. Knowing it's there though is torture. I will admit though I have been reading the snippets which naturally make me want to read the book more.

LOST

So I have questions about LOST. These could be spoilers so if you haven't watched the episode yet, you might want to back away.

1: Desmond is on the plane? What the heck?

2: What's with the plane? It's not a flashback or forward. Do they now have to two lives? Is that what Juliet meant by, "it worked."

3: If they could save Sayid, what about Juliet?

4: What's with Charlie? Are we just getting a glimpse of him? I kept waiting for him to show up in front of Hurley.

5: Where is Jack's dad?

6: Why was the island under the water?

7: So was Richard a bad guy before? He was in chains.

8: Where is Claire?

I feel like I'm missing other questions. What about you? What questions am I missing? Do you think you have the show figured out? If you do, tell me what's going on.

The Memory of Water

So I finally finished Karen White's The Memory of Water. I was starting to wonder if I ever was going to. I started that book and another, and picked up another book. This one got pushed aside. It's not a bad book at all. I liked it. It made me want to call my sisters up and say, "I love you."

Also just to warn you. If you are one of those people like me who gets emotional over the littlest thing, be ready to get a little teary eyed.

This one deals with two sisters who are reunited after ten years. It takes an accident for the ex-husband of one of the sisters to get the other sister back home. Back to a place she wants to forget. The sisters are Marnie and Diana Maitland. The ex-husband is Quinn who feels attracted to Marnie from the beginning. We also meet Gil, Quinn and Diana's son, who stopped talking after the accident. Which is one of the reasons Quinn wants Marnie to come home, to help cure Gil. Can she cure Gil though if she can't cure herself?

Some people reading this might be able to relate with a couple issues in the book but I think anyone would enjoy reading this one.

Also loved how we got everyone's point of view in first person. You would see Diana's thoughts than Gil.

This one was my first book by Karen White. Can't wait to read more.
