City of Glass Book Thoughts

I have to say I wasn't sure if I would like The Mortal Instruments series or not, but to my surprise, I loved it. I thought I would like it to the point where I could pick up the book here and there when I had a chance. Nope, I wanted to keep reading it.

City of Glass picks up where the last one left off. I do realize I forgot to post about the other two books but life got in the way. I promise to try and be good from now on.

Clary has found a way to save her mother's life. All she has to do is go find a wizard to wake up her mother. That shouldn't be too hard right? Well despite Jace's warning about going to find the wizard and keeping Clary away from the ancient city. She'll find a way there ending with a couple consequences.

After her encounter with Jace when he discovers she came to the city, she'll meet Sebastian who seems like a nice guy but is he really? What's behind the mask of Sebastian?

Finding a cure for her mother isn't the only thing she'll have to deal with. There is also Valentine, who wants to take over the world of the shadowhunters. He might get his way if people listen to him and decide to follow. Clary won't accept that. She wants to help. She wants to stop Valentine. Who cares who he is? Well, she better since, unfortunately Valentine is apart of her rather she likes it or not.

While Clary is dealing with her own problems, everyone has their own to deal with.

Jace has a connection with Clary that is driving him crazy. He also wants to stop Valentine. He'll also discover there is more to himself than he thought. That might make him think he's not that great of a person.

I could go on about all the different characters but if you haven't read the books yet, I'll let you discover the great characters in this series. This is the third book and will wrap up some of the plot. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

If you like Star Wars, you might like this one. There were a couple times, I thought of the movies series.

I think one thing I'm looking forward to is discovering more about Clary and Jace. Not only do they have a connection, each one seems to have a special power. It could be one they can use and one that could be dangerous. I can't wait to find out.

  1. So glad you enjoyed this series. :) I was nervous about it as well. There was so much hype about these books, I didn't know if I would like them. And I found I really loved them. This one was my favorite out of the series thought. :)
