Drink Deep Thoughts

Waiting for Drink Deep by Chloe Neill was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Okay, maybe not, but to wait for the book tortured me. Hard Bitten provided a killer cliffhanger. When I finished the book, I didn't know what to think. I sat there in shock. How could she do that to us? Just in case you didn't read the last book, I won't go into detail. All I can say is, be prepared. You'll want to grab Drink Deep as soon as possible.

This one picked up after the events of Hard Bitten. Merit had to get over a loss that changed her life. To keep her from her memories, she had a chance to keep busy. Too bad, it was something that could destroy Chicago.

The water turned black and that was only the beginning. Merit, with the help of Jonah, from the Grey house who is also a friend to Merit, helps her try to figure out what's going on. Could it be the faeries? What about the nymphs or sirens? When they discovered who started it and why. Merit will have to come to some conclusions that might change relationships forever.

I loved this book. Honestly I didn't know if I would. With the ending of Hard Bitten, I felt betrayed in a way but I knew I had to read and find out what happened next. After Hard Bitten and up to the release of Drink Deep, Neill said to trust her and I'm glad I listened. I loved the ending to Drink Deep. It is a cliffhanger but you know what? I'm feeling okay. Of course, I can't wait for the next book in the series but I can relax now. Although I do have to wonder what will happen next. Whatever does happen, Merit has a long road ahead of her.
