Mockingjay Book Thoughts

The latest book that I'm glad I added to my collection is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. It's the final book in the Hunger Games Trilogy. I have to admit I was sad it ended but all good series must come to an end while we like it or not.

Unfortunately I never got around to reviewing the first book so if you would like to know more about that one, click here. I do have thoughts on Catching Fire, the second book, click here. In the meantime let's move onto Mockingjay.

This one picks up after the second book. Katniss finds herself among the rebels. They are people just like her that want to stop President Snow. Can they though? Is the President smart enough to show the power he has and kill them?

While Katniss has to worry about Snow, there is also Peeta to think about. What happened to the two in the previous book might just be enough to keep them apart forever. Can Katniss save them? Does she even want to? What about Gale? Could she be with him and not Peeta?

Will Katniss come out of this okay? Will her life change for the good or the better? Only time will tell.

If there is one thing I love about the series. It makes you think. Could we end up like that? Of course I'm sure we won't have something like the Hunger Games but could we have something similar? The one thing I love about these kind of books is that they might be fiction but this time there are no dragons, vampires, or you name it. They are real people.

Check out the series if you haven't yet.
