Can we forgive and move on?

So I thought I would put my two cents in with what's been going on in the blogging world.

A blogger who shall remain nameless was caught plagiarizing other bloggers. She posted about it but didn't really come out and say she was sorry.

Now she is doing posts on her blog all week about plagiarizing. It just seems wrong to me. She hasn't said sorry yet but she's posting blogs about it. Almost like it never happened to her.

Yes we all make mistakes but we must admit those mistakes and fix it. I have to ask though. As the saying goes, "Once a cheater, always a cheater." How do we know this blogger won't do it again? Can we trust her now when she posts?

What's scary is that a lot of people support her. Why? She did something wrong. She can say she's sorry but her mistake will always be there. It's the internet, it's not going anywhere. She'll have to work harder if she wants the support again.

Another question I have. Why not do research? It's been awhile but I believe it was about blogging. I can't remember the exact topic at the moment but couldn't she do her own research? Yes we're going to have some of the same ideas but use your own words. I bet I can word something different from another blogger. I can even add on to it. The other blogger doing the same topic as me can do their own words and add their own twist.

It's like when you would write a school paper. We all had to do the same book report. I'm sure when it came to writing a paper on Romeo and Juliet we used a lot of the same scenes but we used our own words.

Please people. Don't do what this blogger did. Use your own words, don't steal.

Did you hear about this blogger? What are your thoughts?

Unholy Magic Book Thoughts

This week's book thoughts go to Unholy Magic by Stacia Kane. I might have only finished the second book but I love this series so far and can't wait to see what happens next.

Chess our main character is back at work finding out if a house haunting is real or fake. To top that off, she has to solve a ghost case for Bump, a drug dealer. This cast gets Lex and his gang involved. This might not be a good thing since Chess has to hide the fact she knows Lex from Terrible who works for Bump.

She soon discovers what feelings she has towards Terrible but will he feel the same way, especially after what he discovers?

If you're into urban fantasy, ghosts, and of course a great hero. I definitely recommend this series.

Magic Slays Discussion

Hey all! Melissa and I decided to do Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews in one week instead of splitting it up. At this point, we have caught up to the series. If you want to discuss this one or past books. Feel free.

Let's get started!!!

Melissa's
- How did Hugh know what Kate had been up to? And that those made those flowers?

- Who was talking to Kate in her weak, confused moment?

- What do you think will come from Julie now?

- How about Rowena showing up to "help" Kate? What do you think will come of her, especially wit being of The People?

Robyn's
- Now that we know that Hugh is watching. When do you think they'll meet again? You know they'll have a showdown before Roland. Or maybe that's me thinking it.

- Now that Daniel is gone. What will Jennifer become? Angrier? Maybe she'll blame Kate again. Should Kate watch out for her?

- I believe Curran loves Kate but do you think he had plans for her at the beginning with being Roland's daughter?

- What questions do we still have that have yet to be answered?
